- By 1492 Aboriginal people had occupied much of America. They speak different languages and live intributes. They exploit the riches of their land (such as fish, corn and turkey).
- But it was in the same year that an explorer named Christopher Columbus, originally searching for India, found America... and it's people.
- Once there Christopher Columbus decides to call this unknown people the Indians. From that moment on the Indian Americans began to disappear because of diseases that came with the settlers.

- During the American Revolution between the Americans and the British. The American Indians who joined the Revolution sided with the British because of their tradeties and hoping that their victory would stop some of the colonization.
- In1830, AndrewJacksonthe7thpresidentoftheUnitedStates enactedtheIndianRemovalAct.
- This Act resulted in the forced displacement of Indian populations (“The Trail of Tears”). It also gave rise to what we call Indian wars (Dakota War, Snake War, Colorado War etc).
