- Austria-Hungary blamed Serbua for the attack. They demamded Serbia a altimadum but Serbia later rejected the rules. Austri-Hungary declared war on Serbia.
- Germany declared war on Russia to help Austria-Hungary and Russia helped Serbia. France began to help its ally Russia, and Germany declared war on France. This all marked the start of WW1.
