- My story really starts when I was 18 years old or so, and I graduated from high school in Karachi, Pakistan.
- Finally Graduated!
- I was given the option of either studying abroad in the states, or staying in Pakistan and studying their.
- Should I stay or study abroad?
- I decided to study abroad so that I can raise my children in a safer environment.
- However, before I could attend college in the states, I had to worry about three main things: Money, a Visa, and a College Acceptance.
- Do I have any money, a visa, or even a college acceptance?
- For Finance, I asked my parents for help, and I applied for multiple scholarship opportunities.
- I need some money for college
- I will help you as much as I can!
- For the Visa, I applied for one and then got accepted!
- Yes, you have been accepted.
- Can I please get a Visa?
- For the final issue, of where would I go to college, I got accepted to IIT (Illinois Institute of Technology).
- Dad, I got accepted!!!
- Congratulations Son, I am very proud of you!!!
- When I finally arrived in the states, it was a major culture shock. Nothing I ever knew was the same. Not only did I have language issues, but I knew absolutely no one in the states.

- But, I kept studying and working hard. Eventually, I got an internship, a car etc. I was finally getting my life together.
- Oh shoot, my class starts in thirty-minutes.
- After four years of adapting to the culture in the states, and studying hard to get my degree, I finally graduated from College!
- Back at Graduation again, huh?
- After graduating, I got a job in Michigan with a company called Ricardo.
- Off to Michigan!!
- While in Michigan, the company I was working with decided to pay for me to go back to school and get my masters in Engineering.
- Not Again!!!
- At the age of twenty-seven, I got married to wife, Yaquta.
- You are now husband and wife!
- Four years after my marriage, I had my first child, Zainab.
