- Burris Ewell shouts at Mrs.Caroline for trying to get ewell out of class and causes Mrs.Caroline to cry
- As Burris Ewell left and Mrs.Caroline continues crying but is comforted by her children, Scout is left to wonder why Burris does things like this
- Each person has their own reason why. You don't understand a person until you step into their shoes and see the world through their perspective.
- Scout asks Atticus if she can stay at home and not go to school for the rest of the year
- Scout ask Atticus why some people go to school for the first day of school and never come back for the rest of the year
- Atticus explains and answers Scout's question
