- Son, Neighborhood is basically a social organization which is generally larger than household but smaller than city.

- 4 main function:1)Economic Function: It has been viewed as unit of consumption and not as production. 2) Administered Function: It focuses attention upon the provision and distribution of public services. 3) Political Function: It as a political unit is related as administered unit but is also focuses upon the delivery side of the 3D model of political process. (Demand, Decision, Delivery) 4) Social Funtion: Interaction, identification and commitment in local neighborhood which is variable and voluntaristic.3 types of socialbility:1) Fleeting 2) Enduring3) Passive
- Dad, What do you mean by saved community and lerabted community ?
- Saved Community: Here People don't take decision of their choice, but by the constraint of the family they belong to. Liberated Community: Here people take decision freely with out any family pressure, however family supports the decision.
- Dad, one more question. What is the role of children in neighborhood?
- The role of children has been directly linked to the importance of theneighborhood in the socializattion and social control of children.
