- The sustainable development goal (SDG) 12 has a vital role to play in the current scenario of ISIS Sugar’s operations. Sugar production can have a significant impact on the environment. It requires a lot of water and can contribute to deforestation and pollution. However, ISIS is working hard to reduce our environmental impact. The Company is using renewable energy sources, recycling water, and using less packaging for its products. ISIS’s suppliers ensure the use of sustainable seeds/processing practices.
- Impact of Covid-19
- The entire planet has seen what the Coronavirus Pandemic has done to the business world. Covid-19 has had a significant impact on sugar production as well. Most of the factories were shut down when the Coronavirus hit the world in 2020. The rate at which global sugar production fell was 1.7%. This was a large decline compared to the last 5 decades.
- The main issues faced by the organisation were: 1. Data on production delays.2. Labour shortages.3. Reduced throughput rates.
