- We need to find a way off of this island.
- I have an idea.
- Woahhh
- King Minos flew into rage with its builder,Daedalus ordered him shut up in a higher tower and sea. Daedalus's son,Icarus helped them escape but to find them self stuck on an island.
- follow me son.
- Thousands of gulls flew over the island so Daedalus told his son Icarus to get as many feathers as he can soon it turned into one huge pile of feathers.Daedalus then got some wax and melted it into a shape of birds wings. Although they were hard to make Icarus still had fun playing around while his dad worked on the wings.
- Icarus!!
- Daedalus was finally done making the wings for the both of them. He taught Icarus how to fly and demonstrated for him.Daedalus especially told Icarus "keep at a moderate height,for if you fly to low,the fog and spray will clog your wings,and if you fly to high the heat will melt the wax that hold them together,keep near me and you will be safe."
- *eyes fill with tears*
- As they took off soaring in the sky,Daedalus telling Icarus to follow him. Icarus felt the feeling of joy as the cooling wind blew in his face.
- Icarus flew higher,and higher,into the blue sky until he reached the clouds. His father saw him and called out for his son in a worried voice. The sun blazing down on Icarus's wings softened the wax,small feathers started to fall off from the wings he tried to glide to earth but was not successful.
- After Icarus fell into the water Daedalus picked him up from the water and carried him to land. He then burried his son on land named it Icaria in loving memory. Then with the flutter of wings Daedalus flew off to Sicily where he built a temple to Apollo.
