- This triggers many emotions such as anger, frustration, confusion and more.
- Jesminder is offended when playing football in the park with a group of boys that comment how she is a girl.
- This action highlights that they do not believe Jess is equal to them.

- This emphasises gender equality and sexism that is common in football
- The boys rudely protrude to their chest, they mean to make fun of jess saying she is only girl.
- Jess must choose to either make her parents happy, or do what she wants.
- Jesminder must be challenged when her mother tries to plan out her whole very 'Indian' life.
- Cultural challenges
- Jesminder's mum pushes her to have a life that is accepted by the Indian society, even if it isn't what Jess wants.
- In the end Jess wants to fight for Joe and for football.
