- Climax
- Oh this poor family.
- The family is sitting together in their home, with Herbert and Mr. White playing chess. After Herbert wins and Mr. White complains, someone knocks on the door...
- Falling Action
- Our poor son didn't deserve this!
- Sergeant-Major Morris enters and gives them the Monkey's Paw after warning them about it. Despite the warning, the family wishes for 200 pounds and wakes up the next morning happy, with Herbert going to work.
- Resolution
- knock.. Knock.. KNOCK
- A mysterious man outside approaches the door. When Mrs. White answers, he tells them that Herbert has died. 200 pounds are given to the family as compensation.
- Mr. and Mrs. White return home after Herbert's funeral. Suddenly, Mrs. White comes up with the idea of wishing Herbert back to life, and Mr. White does this. Soon after, a knock is heard.
- While Mrs. White goes to open the door, Mr. White realizes what would happen and searches for the Monkey's Paw. When he finds it, he gives his final wish, and nobody is found at the door.
- Please kill my son. Do not let him in!!!
