- Why I want to go into the tech field
- Computers are cool!
- I always thought computers were pretty cool. I mean you can simulate a human brain and create almost conscious robots. Withcomputersthepossibilitiesare endless,and I like that. I enjoy both building and programmingcomputers, so I can do whatever kind of computer job I want and be happy with it. And it definitelyhelps that I could be getting paid six-figures straight out of college if I pick the right job, which is a huge bonus.

- Hardware engineers build and design the microcomputers that make the world spin. everything from basic computational logic units to $2000 graphics cards are designed and made my hardware engineers. Because of this hardware engineers get payed on average $113K yearly, and it only goes up from there.

- Web development is something I've been doing in my free time for a few months now. I really enjoy it, but sadly the title of web developer isn'tthe most properly compensated job out there. Web developers often work under hard conditions for hours on end looking at lines on lines on lines of code, fortunately they don'tget payed very well so that makes up for it, right?

- Software developmentis another thing I've been doing in my free time. software development is a pretty wide term, so to narrow it down, the kind of software development I'm talking about is building applications. I don'treally care what kind of applications;I just enjoy programming. Software Developers can get payed upwards of $121K yearly.

- Making video games is probably the job I want most. Video gamesbring me joy so if I can give that to someone else that would be awesome. Video game developers don't get paid the most compared to the other occupations, but it's the one I'm most passionate about so I'm willing in compromise. Video game developers get paid on average $101K so I'm not really compromisingon much.

- As a missile defense software engineer, I would be designing and working on missile defense simulations. Software engineers get paid on average $118K and because this is a more advanced kind of software engineer,I would likely get paid more. as a software engineer,I would be building VR simulations that would be used by people in the military to train for using missile defense systems.
