- Meet the Younger's!
- Walter and Ruth's early morning argument
- "I can't eat these eggs if you yelling at me! I have a dream! I want the money for the liquor store!"
- "Just eat your eggs Walter!"
- Mama's dream with the money
- "Been thinking that we maybe could meet the notes on a little old two-story somewhere where Travis could play outside.
- This is the Younger family. On the left you have Walter and Beneatha. In the middle you have the child of Walter and Ruth, Travis. On the right there is Ruth the wife of Walter, and Walter and Beneatha's mother, whose husband has died.
- The Latest News/Surprising news 
- "Oh boy. We need to get her to the hospital now. You'll be fine Ruth".
- Walter and Ruth were talking about what the money was going to be for and how they were going to invest. Walter wanted to open a liquor store with his friends has this was a time when people were drinking a lot of alcohol.  Ruth is telling Walter to just eat his eggs so he isn't late for work, basically trying to get him to stop talking about money this early in the morning.
- The news gets to Walter
- "Oh no."
- "You are expecting another child".
- Mama had a dream with her husband who has passed away, that they would get a two story somewhere, they even picked out the house., and mama could grow a garden. But this plan went away over time, because of how African Americans were treated during this time period. The money they got for long days at work, was not enough.
- The news gets to Walter
- "I'm thinking about not having the baby. I could give the doctor five dollars for down payment."
- "No no no, Ruth would never do that".
- Ruth starts to feel uneasy and faints. She faints and Mama reacts quickly and catches her. Later they find out that Ruth has been 2 months pregnant. 
- Ruth finds out that she has been 2 months pregnant. Which would be why she has been feeling off lately. She wonders how she will tell her family.
- Walter fins out that Ruth has been 2 months pregnant. The Ruth says that she was thinking about not having the baby at all. But Walter does not agree with her.
