- Duringhis work, he met several actors as well as a writer who attended his rehearsals. He notices a beautiful red-haired actress, Eleanor. Analchemy is born between the two. When he is with her, he realizes the difference between the middle class and the upper class.
- Characteristic 1
- As he talks with the other members of the group, Karim realizes his lack of education and how much he could have done if he had known more.
- Characteristic 2
- The relationship between Karim and Eleanor becomes serious when Karim catches Eleanor crying in her apartment. After Karim comforts her,they make love. He then learns that Eleanor had a black boyfriend who committed suicide because he was a victim of racism.
- Characteristic 3
- The play was so successful that Karim went on a tour in New York. At the end of the play, Karim tries to go out with Eleanor who confesses to him that she intends to have sexual relations with the director.Karim leaves, sad.
- After the play, he reunites with Charlie and works for him during 6 months,before returning to London for an audition. He had to under go many difficult pyschological and mental periods (depression,disappointment in the love between him and Eleanor ...) but came back stronger than ever.
- Karim returns to his childhood home, much more mature, and sees that everyone has evolved : His mother is still happy with her newboyfriend, his father is going to marry Eva Kay, his little brotherhas succeeded in fashion and his friends seem rather happy. While he is at the restaurant with them, he realizes his evolution and the difference between him of the past and him of the present.
