- The Nazis, led by Hitler, carried out a genocide of Jewish and other marginalized people.
- Less than one percent of the non-targeted people aided Jewish and marginalized groups in danger.
- The Holocaust was a massacre of six million Jewish people in five years, two-thirds of the Jewish population at that time.
- Concentration camps such as Auschwitz worked people to the death. They experimented on children, killed people in gas chambers, and enslaved people.
- The US forced Japanese people into Internment camps after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
- These camps completely stripped Japanese Americans of their rights. They blamed an entire ethnic group for the actions of a few.
- Trauma lives on from these camps, where so many harmful acts happened. An example of this is people could be shot for moving close to the barb wire walls.
