In search for glory, Beowulf enters the scorching dragon's lair, challenging the beast to a fateful duel.
TODAY IS YOUR LAST STAND!!
In the heat of battle, Beowulf's sword snaps upon contact with the dragon's scaly body. The seemingly invincible Beowulf is left practically defenseless.
MY SWORD! IT'S BROKEN!
The only other knight loyal enough to the heroic code, a steadfast Wiglaf jumps to Beowulf's aid and catapults himself off of a boulder onto the dragon's tail.
WIGLAF!
Like a true friend and warrior, I'm with you until the end!
In one fell swoop, Wiglaf slices off the dragon's tail!
The dragon thrashes its body in pain. As the severed tail flies off, the tip zips past Beowulf's neck, slicing it open! The dragon falls to the floor, its last moments are upon him, but so with Beowulf, bleeding profusely from his neck.
OW!!
Beowulf! Your neck! t's been cut!
Wiglaf reverently hands Beowulf his sword to deliver the final blow to the dragon. A dying Beowulf knows this will be his last act, so he closes his eyes and sinks the sword through the dragon's skull. As he puts the sword into the dragon's head, he lays down and closes his eyes, and prepares to enter the everlasting.
