- Sam Houston 1st term he tried to to avoid war with the native Americans. He gave a certain amount of land to people depending on how many people there were. He tried to cut spending but untimely Texas continued to suffer extreme debt.

- Lamar became president and built schools witch put Texas more in debt. He started a war between the Native Americans it put them in even more debt. He tried to make a currency called red-bucks but they were worth nothing.

- Sam Houston's 2nd term he cut government spending again he made peace with the Native Americans. Signing a peaces treaty and increasing trade with them. He cut of military spending and make immigration levels go up. Texas is still in debt.

- Anson Jones was trying to make Texas appealing to annexation to other countries other than America. He wanted the Texans to have a choice on what would happen.
