- This battle takes place at the beginning of Act 1, where Macbeth and Banquo are battling together.

- The 3 witches come to Banquo and Macbeth to discuss their prophecies and how Macbeth will be king.

- Macbeth was granted, king. He writes his wife a letter telling her what happened and she becomes angry and plans on killing banquo.
- Lady Macbeth tries to coerce her husband.
- The guards are drugged in the castle.
