- Oh its nothing i was just thinking about the meaning of bias and prejudice because i heard those words a lot lately.
- I see, i can help you understand the meaning of bias and prejudice . Let me give you an example of biasand prejudice.
- Good morning my friend why is your face like that? do you have a problem?
- Example of bias:Imagine this, a girl and a boy got into a fight and was sent to the principals office to see who was the one that started it. After they were inside the principal asked what happened and both students gave their statements.
- The boy was the problem but the principal didnt care because it is his friends son and so he put the girl on the hot seat with nothing she can do.
- Example of Prejudice:Now imagine this a teen invited his friend at hishouse to finish their project. After they got inside he called his mother to see his friend, the mother was angry because heinvited someone who has different beliefs in many things.
- The teen was very upset about his mothers way of thinking and seeing things, he then told his mother to be not rude to her and respect her for who she is.
- Yes, i now understand it all thank you for giving me knowledge about it.
- Now we must really put into our minds that not all of us are the same and we should respect others for who they are and what they do and to also make sure that we make equal judgement on things to avoid being biased.
- Now my friend do you now understand the difference between bias and prejudice and how it affects all our lives.
