- Oedipus is a Pennsylvanian boy who gained fame after his dramatic role on the reality TV show, Bachelor in Paradise (BIP). Unknown to the fans, Oedipus rearranged his whole life prior to the show in order to avoid a nasty fate. When he was young, a palm reader told Oedipus he'd kill his father and wed his mother. After being told this, Oedipus immediately packed his bags and started a new life in California in an attempt to escape this reality. After a few months of living there, he signed up for BIP.
- Climax
- Oedipus became a fan favorite on Bachelor in Paradise. He was known for winning over and marrying the previous bachelorette, the beautiful Jocasta, who was engaged to Laius at the end of her season. Unfortunately, Laius was tragically killed shortly into their engagement. Eventually, Jocasta took on Bachelor in Paradise and met the man of her dreams, Oedipus. However, ever since Laius's murder, the viewings of the show declined. Producers of the show begged Oedipus to solve the problem.
- Falling Action
- Oedipus requested that Creon, his brother-in-law, needed to help find a way to gain back the show's popularity. Creon sought the aid of the host of Bachelor in Paradise. The host revealed that the show would only gain back its viewings if the murderer of Laius was found and punished. Oedipus was determined to find the murderer.
- Resolution
- I deserve this...
- Oedipus learned of a man who witnessed Laius's death (Laius's best friend). The witness revealed that Laius was run over by a car. This was odd to Oedipus because he also ran over a man when leaving the palm reader's clinic in Pennsylvania. The witness also revealed that Laius was told by a palm reader that his own son would kill him. To avoid this, Laius set his son up for adoption. Oedipus put the story together and realized he was indeed the murderer, and his attempt to escape his fate failed.
- AHHHHH NOOOOO!!!
- Oedipus told Jocasta that he killed Laius and is actually her own son. Upon learning this, Jocasta stabbed herself to death. Oedipus was full of distraught and heartbreak. He gouged his eyes out with the final rose given to him by Jocasta on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise.
- Oedipus was sentenced to life in prison. He hugged him and Jocasta's children goodbye and was sent away to the California state prison. Although a tragic end to the story, Bachelor in Paradise returned to the "#1 summertime show". Obviously, Oedipus was no longer a fan favorite.
