  • Ashoka, one of the most famous kings of the Mauryan empire and the son of Bindusara. Ashoka was a brave warrior and wanted to expand the borders of his kingdom. He decided that he would include Kalinga in his kingdom!
  • Ashoka's realisation
  • Ashoka raised a large army and attacked Kalinga!The kalingans who loved freedom fought bravely but were defeated.
  • Ashoka's message to the world
  • The last battle between the Kalingans and Ashoka was fiercely fought, both sides suffered heavy losses! 1 lakh Kalingans died!
