- We are out of food!
- The patriarch Abraham made a covenant with god promising that if he and his family left Ur and traveled to Canaan, that one day this would be his descendants' land.Years later a famine struck in Canaan. Jacob decided to go to Egypt for food. The pharaoh was afraid that Jacob and his family would try to take over Egypt so he made them slaves.
- Leave Now!
- Moses was a Hebrew that was raised in the palace of the pharaoh in Egypt. He wanted to leave because the pharaoh enslaved the Hebrews.The pharaoh would not let the Hebrew out of slavery.
- Ten Commandments
- Some punishments were swarms of bugs, sicknesses, and death of the oldest son of each family of Egypt. Moses told his people to put blood of a lamb on the top of their door
- After the final punishment the Pharaoh demanded for all Hebrews to leave Egypt. He took them out of Egypt to the Sinai Peninsula. The Freedom of Hebrews is called Exodus and is remembered during the week of Passover
- The Israelite went to the Sinai Peninsula. Moses received the ten commandments from god and they were important because it told the Israelite how to behave toward god.
- Joshua led the Israelite into Canaan and conquered Jericho. After the defeat of Jericho, the Israelite went on to conquer several small kingdoms.
