Missie May happily awaits for her husband Joe to arrive home to throw silver dollars for her to pick up and pile beside her place, as a part of  their Saturday tradition.
Joe arrives home preparing to hide behind the tree in the yard from his wife Missie May, to toss the coins.
Missie May arrives at the door pretending to be alarmed and not knowing whose tossing the coins and she proceeds outside to search the yard. Only to find that Joe has made his way to the kitchen
Joe and Missie meet at the kitchen door and engage in laughter and rough playing.
Later, Joes tells Missie he is going to take her out to a new ice cream parlor in town, that's owned by a man from Chicago named Otis Slemmons.  Joe tells Missie all about Slemmons gold teeth, his five and ten dollar gold pieces, and how he claims the women in Chicago gave him gold. But Missie isn't impressed
Leaving the parlor Joe and Missie exchange their thoughts on Slemmons, Missie is fantasized by his gold after all, because she's never seen gold money before.
