- I overturned my sled in a bad trail!!! The sled is upside down and jammed between a tree trunk!!
- At last he arose in a weary manner, as though all the resilience had gone out of his body, and proceeded tofastenthe dogs to the sled. He passed a rope over his shoulder,a man-trace, and pulled with the dogs.
- They swang up upon the trail. Billl forgot his forebodings last night...
- I heard a shot. Is Bill... maybe he is out of aim... and there is one-eye yelling. Bill gotted.
- Don´t run back us!! Look Bill, there are a dozen wolves....
- Henry heard an outcry of snarls and yelps. He recognized one-eye yell of pain and terror. and he heard a wolf-cry that bespoke a stricken animal.
- Bill helped Henry with the sled and the boys started to run towards the dog.
- One ear lefted the sled. broking into the run across the snow. Out in the snow the she-wolf was waiting for him
- Where are you goin ene eye?!?!
- Gun in hand, Bill plunged into the underbrush lined the side of the trail. His intention was aparent enough.
- I won´t stand it. They ain´t a going to get any more of our dogs
