I was born and raised in Singapore, a tiny city-state on a tropical island (about 3/5 the size of NYC) in Southeast Asia. I had many interests growing up, I wanted to be a professional saxophonist, a dentist, a geologist, a painter...
But alas, there are only so many hours in a day, and days in a year. So when it came time to decide on something to pursue in university, I picked architecture. And in a blink of an eye, 13 years have passed - 5+ years in architecture school and 8 years in practice.
At work, I had the chance to work on and lead a diverse range of projects that had elevated sustainability targets - from land optimisation master plans to integrated developments, PV-powered community centres, and single-family bungalows. Work was challenging but purposeful and rewarding.
After seeing the completion of 2 key projects in mid-2023, I decided to take a break and head back to school to pick up new skills.... which brings me to where I am right now. I am excited to see where this path will lead!
