- Wow! That was just as bad as my society. We kept such perfect time, that our society was super-efficient. All of our lives were dictated to be perfectly on time, keeping pace within seconds of what is planned. We had the Ticktockman to enforce this. But I didn’t like it so much. It made life so predictable and really boring. As the Harlequin, I found it fun to disrupt things, delaying time.. The Ticktock guy didn’t like me doing this so much, so he had me put away, brainwashed… at least I pretended. I played along, and I just escaped. I just couldn’t live under their “perfect” rules anymore.
- Yeah, I had to get away too. When I realized how boring our society was, because they were hiding all the good memories along with the bad, I had to escape. I wanted to try to give the people all the old memories back. Our society was so messed up, trying to control everyone like that. They expected everything to be perfectly orderly as they designed.I just couldn’t believe they would kill off people and discard them like garbage when they no longer fit in.
- YYeah, I wanted our society to loosen up on the time rules. They would get crazy that things were not perfectly timed, and citizens threw off society’s schedule, they would just kill them off.
- Your society seems like it had some twisted idea of how things should be. That sounds awful that they would want to write how your life should be live down to the second. Seems almost like people are robots, and not really people.
- Well, I am glad we are no longer there.
- Yours too. Since you had to hoard memories and ideas, it sounds like no one learned anything really interesting.
- I am glad I’m not there anymore too.
