- Little Man saw the page with the who has the book. He saw the word called Niger and started to stomp on the book. Then Cassie saw it and placed it on the desk.
- I don't want the book!!
- Papa came home and brought Mr. Morrison. Mr. Morrison was for protection. Papa had to leave to go work of the railroad.
- Stacy thought of an idea to make the white kids have to walk home. They did this because they get splashed on the way to school. The people on the bus laugh at them when they get splashed.
- TJ wanted to cheat. Stacy didn't want him to cheat so he stole the paper from his hand.

- Stop!!!!!!
- Stacy was so mad at TJ and went after him. Stacy stared to beat him up at the Wallaces store. Mr. Morrison came to pick them up. They were late to walking home.

- Mama did Cassie's hair. She told her what is happening in the world. Cassie was not happy but understand that this was the world.
