- Well technically, yes. But doing this for every cow would bring its costs and you know what I just said about the success rate... But decide for yourself. Another option would be an autopsy, which is when the whole brain is examined after death. This could give you a clear insight into the disease that the cow really had, and might save you from killing all of your cattle, just in the case that it should be a different disease apart from mad cow disease.
- Oh man, that's bad bad news... but thanks for informing me before I bring more danger to the people! Just one more question: Wouldn't a biopsy on one animal possibly give an insight if my cows even have mad cow disease?
- Okay, I'll consider all of the options you mentioned. Oh, and I'll remember to dispose of the animals correctly... I don't want a spread through the dead animals either.
