- The food is inedible Miss Statchard is cruel, and the living conditions are deplorable. Helen is too kind a person to deserve such ridicule and treatment. She shouldn't be so passive.
- Jane is a naughty deceitful girl who must be ostracized from her peers and mentors
- Oh Mrs.Reed truly has ruined everything. Now everyone will believe Mr. Brocklehurst and think me a bad person. At least Helen is smiling at me.
- After Jane collapsed to the floor in tears, Helen assures her that no one resents her. Miss Temple invites Jane and Helen to her bedroom where she lets Jane explain herself. After Jane tells her story, Miss temple offers bothe Helen and Jane tea and seed cake. Once Mr.Lloyd confirms Janes story, Miss Temple puplicly clears Janes' name.
- Everyone is dying!
- When Spring finally arrives Lowood becomes overrun with Typhus. The teachers become so preoccupied with the sick children that the rules were relaxed and the classes are broken up. Jane was now free to regain a shard of her childhood. She spent her days in the woods with Mary Ann Wilson. Unfortunately Jane soon learned that Helen was deathly ill.
- Oh Jane since I will die young I will be spared many hardships
- Oh you can't die Helen, you simply can't. I love you.
- That night Helen passed away.
- Eight years later...
- Since Miss Temple left I now have no purpose here and I wish to work somewhere else. I shall advertise for a position as governess in the paper. Perhaps I shall find a new position somewhere else.
