- The first winter was hard becuase they had to stay there for a long time and they did not have lots of food and also beacuase it was winter and very cold.george washington talking to his troops

- george washingtons house was a lot better than the soldiers houses becuase he rented it from Isaac Potts while the soldiers had to bulid thier own.

- Under the direction of the army's engineers, the men began constructing over 2,000 log huts laid out along military streets. These were erected using lumber from the region's abundant forests.

- teuben promptly formed a model company of soldiers and trained them to march, use the bayonet, and execute orders quickly on the battlefield. In turn, this company trained all the able-bodied soldiers at Valley Forge.
