They say the world was a great sea of water ruled by god Maguayan.
It stretched the sky that was ruled by god Kaptan.
Lidagat and Lihangin, children of Maguayan and Kapatan respectively, were arranged to be married.
They had three sons: Licalibutan, who was made of rock and was confident about everything he did; Libulan, who was made from copper, weakest and timid of all; Liadlao, who was mad from gold, amiable and had a pleasant face. They had one daughter named Lisuga, who was made of silver, affectionate and gentle. Soon, Lihangin and Lidagat passed on to the afterlife.
Being the eldest, Licalibutan was made in charge of the winds. Soon, he beame arrogant and desirous of more power. He wanted to attack Kaptan and take control of the skies too. He bullied his brothers until they were pressured to assit him.
As the brothers rushed to entered, they saw Kaptan, who looked fearsome with anger. They ran away with fear but Kaptan destroyed them with lightning bolts.
