- Follow me through this journey as a carbon atom!
- My jorney begins as a pile of coal as a result of fossilization from intense heat and compostition.
- Humans burn coal for electricity and heat in a process called combustion.
- The CO2 from combustion makes its way into plants to perform photosynthesis.
- The deer then eats the plants through consumption.
- The deer sadly dies and is broken down by decomposers for CO2 to be released back into the atmosphere through decomposition.
- The deer breathes and releases CO2 into the atmosphere through cellular respiration.
- I can now breathe in CO2 released in the atmosphere!
