- Hello, my name is Santa and i'm here to discuss coal energy. Coal energy is energy that comes from the remains of plants that lived and died long ago. We manly use coal for electricity, steel and iron industries and for smelting.
- Hello, my name is bob and I will be discussing biomass energy. Biomass energy is from organic matter and is burned to generate steam and create electricity.

- I think coal is a better source of energy than biomass because its very cheap to burn.
- Well, a disadvantage of coal is that it pollutes the air with carbon dioxide, that causes greenhouse gasses!

- If you grow plants for biomass fuel, it helps reduce greenhouse gasses.
- Well, a disadvantage of biomass energy is that it causes some pollution when you burn it.
- That's true, tell me some more about coal. Why do you think its a better energy source than biomass?
- I think coal is a better energy source because it is used to make products like brick, paper, limestone and cement.
- ok, well I think biomass is a better energy source because when you burn it, it does not produce sulfur which causes acid rain.
