- the structure of infinitives is pronoun/subject+main verb+infinitive verb+complement
- Gerunds:Is a noun made from a verb in its base form by adding ".ING".For example, the verb "fly" is changed to "flying"
- Gerund form:ReadingWalkingDrawingDrinkingTalking
- Base form:ReadWalkDrawDrinkTalk
- We use the second conditional when we are thiking about a future that is not likely to happen and imaginary situations. it uses the simple past after if, then would and a verb in its base form
- We use the third conditional when we talk about a past situation that didn't happen and we imagine the result of it. we use past perfect after if, and then, past participe in the second pasrt of the sentence.
- Example:If had finished my homework, I would have gone to the movies with you.
- The grammatical function or meaning of a setence is dependt on this structural organization,which is also called syntax or syntactic structure. In traditional grammar, the four basic types of sentence structures are the : simple sentence, the compound sentence, the complex sentence, and the compound/complex sentence.
