  • Oh sure! What's that?
  • Sister Anne?... I need your help, can you help me?
  • Sure! But first, I will explain to you about cell theory before I explain to you the postulates of the cell theory so you can totally understand it. Is that okay to you my Lil bro?
  • No problem big sis!
  • I can't answer my homework because I don't know what I'm going to answer. Can you explain to me big sis about the postulates of the cell theory?
  • So, cells are the basic building of all living things. The human body is composed of trillions of cells. They provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions.
  • Cells also contain the body's heredity material and can make copies of themselves. Cells have many parts, each with a different function. Some of these parts, called organelles, are specialized structures that perform certain task within the cell.
  • Cell theory consists of three postulates. First, all living organisms are composed of cells. Second all cells are basically alike in structure and functions and lastly, the functions of an organism as a whole is the result of the activities and interaction of constituents of the cell. These three postulates of the cell theory offer the basis on how an organism is considered as a living thing.
  • Do you get it now my Lil bro?
  • Your welcome my Lil bro!
  • Yes big sis, thanks for your help! I can finally now answer my homework.
