- The Soviet Union and the United States pressure countires to pick a side with the looming threat of nuclear war.
- Cuba, under their new communiust leader Fidel Castro, sides with the Soviet Union.
- We are communist and therefore we must side with our communist ally, the Soviet Union.
- With Cuba being so close in proximity to the U.S., Cuba worried about a possible invasion from the U.S.
- I'm worried the U.S. is going to invade, we must do something now!
- Cuba is too close, they could cause serious trouble!
- No, this will not be allowed. Any attack from Cuba will be treated as an attck from the Soviet Union. I demand that any Soviet missiles be removed.
