Young kid listening to my parents music during car rides. My dad tried to find only clean songs, or play Spanish songs that I didn't understand.
My mom finding me listening to explicit music for the first time. To be honest, I didn't really pay her any mind because I knew she listened to the same music and I felt like a whole new person.
Continuing to listen to bad music that was full of curse words and concepts that I shouldn't of really been exposed to (90's hip-hop). To this day, I find that genre better than ever and am thankful I was exposed to it at a young age.
Eventually finding my own music, and getting in trouble for playing it in front of my younger sister. I realize now that I shouldn't of been so careless around my siblings when listening to bad music, but at the same time I don't think it's that big of a deal.
Moved onto other genres that I found entertaining, like alternative rock. My mom played 90's and 2000's rock all of the time, so I was already familar with some songs/bands. But after finding a childhood song, I fell in love with older music.
Now I listen to whatever I want, and have a decent understanding of certain genres and the history of them. I still listen to the older genres I fell in love with, but also find new music that comes out. I love to put my friends onto other songs.
