Buster was there once again and said “I see you’ve decided to wear some real clothes today.”I ran directly into Mrs. Smith's room.

She asked me what was wrong and I said “ Oh, nothing.”

George noticed I wasn’t wearing my usual clothes.

He asked, “ Is that bully getting to you again?”

Then he said, “ You should ask Mrs. Smith if we could have a mismatched day.”

Evie says “ Yes, that would be a wonderful idea.”

She goes to ask Mrs. Smith and she says “ Yes of course that is a great idea, but may I ask you why?”

Evie said, “Because I want other people to realize how fun it is to wear mismatched clothes!”

The next day everybody but Buster showed up in mismatched clothes. Buster sees everyone having fun and feels left out. Evie tells Mrs. Smith the truth and Mrs. Smith goes and talks to him.

She says “Buster I’ve noticed you have been bothering Evie. We all need to learn to be nice.”

Buster apologizes and says “I’m sorry I got carried away with everything at home.”

George comes around and says “So, can we be friends now?” Evie says yes and they all laugh and walk into school. The real lesson we can learn from this book is that it's okay to be different.

"I see you've decided to wear some matching clothes today"

"Oh nothing"

"Can we have a mismatched clothes day at school?"

"Buster has been making fun of me."

"Sorry."

"So can we friends now?"
