  • I'm Alex and I'm going to teach you about the Carbon Cycle! For me, a human it's essential as it's what I breathe out to survive. People breathe in oxygen, and then exhale Carbon Dioxide, sourcing it to the air for others. I'll now let Iris take it from here!
  • Me Too!! I do the same thing!
  • Hi! My name is Iris, and the carbon being in the air is cruisal for me! I need the carbon for photosynthesis. Good thing guys realease it the humans and animals when breathing out, so that I have it to make my own energy/food! I'm a major contributer to Carbon Dioxide leaving the air! Carbon Dioxide also leaves the air as it moves into the ground or oceans!
  • Sometimes the carbon from humans doesn't get back to the air from them breathing! Sometimes they die, or create waste! Both of these things lead to decomposition, which creates fossil fuels. This is how carbon enters the Earth's surface!
  • The decomposed materials either end up in the ocean or theground. At this point they evaporate into the atmosphere. This carbon can then go to lots of places, such as plants, like me! Now from here i'll let Alex will cover the rest.
  • Thanks Iris! So here i'll be covering the Carbon Cycle as it relates to humans, animals, plants, the atmosphere, and the ground! Something we haven't talked about is how extra carbon emissions are the air! Humans also often create factories, which release extra emissions of Carbon into the air! Now let's listen to Dr. Carbon real quick to end our learning on why this Carbon Cycle matters to our Earth!
  • Hey! I'm Dr. Carbon and I hear you're learning about the Carbon Cycle, and my answer to your question Alex is the importance plays a major role in our Earth's global warming! This cycle determines how much carbon dioxide is in the air! Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas that assists the Earth's air in retaining heat from the sun. So the more carbon, the more heat the Earth retains, which causes global warming! The less carbon there is, less carbon is retained in the air, and the Earth warms less. So, there you have it! The Carbon Cycle. Hope you enjoyed it!
