- In the dogs first life as Toby he lived in the wild and then taken to a shelter with his family where he learns to live in a pack. Toby gets in a fight with Spike His brother his leg snaps and dies.
- a puppy gets trapped in a truck and starts to overheat when a little boy named Ethans mother comes and sees the puppy and smashes the window open and brings the puppy home to ethan
- Ethan names the dog Bailey and they both grow up together
- Ethan gets in a fight with his girlfriend Hannah at a restaurant so a nerd at school tells Hannah that Ethan is cheating on her. Ethan finds out and insults Todd the one who tried to break the couple up. Todd burns Ethan's house down for revenge. Ethan jumps out of the window and hurts his leg and losses his football scholarship
- Ethan goes off to collage and Bailey goes to grandma and grandpa's farm and dies of old age.
- Bailey gets reborn into a police dog as a female named Ellie she works with a police named Jacob. Jacob hurts himself while chasing a criminal.
