Storyboard Text

  • Chapter One
  • "You young porkers who are sitting in front of me, every one of you will scream you lives out at the block within a year."
  • Chapter Two
  • "Ribbons should be considered as clothes, which are the mark of a human being. All animals should go naked."

  • "It is for your sake that we drink that milk and eat those apples. Do you know what would happen if we pigs failed in our duty? Jones would come back!"
  • When Old Major spoke to the animals, he used their fear to convince them that they were living miserable lives. He told them that all of them will live short, malnourished lives as long as the humans rule over them. He persuades them with words of a better life, and what would happen if they did not rebel.
  • Chapter Four
  • After they got rid of Jones, they assembled rules such as "No animal shall wear clothes". The pigs convinced all the animals that these rules were important in preserving the policy of Animalism.

  • "So much labor would be saved that the animals would only need to work three days a week."
  • It was found that the pigs were keeping the milk and apples for themselves. They told the other animals that this was not because they were greedy, but because they needed it to keep them healthy. They used the animals' fear of Jones to persuade them that it was okay for the pigs to take all the milk and apples.
  • Chapter Six
  • After the Battle of Cowshed, Snowball gave a speech to emphasize the need for all animals to be ready to die for the better of Animal Farm. The victory gave animals a stronger sense of nationalism to Animal Farm. Snowball's speech helped the animals know for sure that they were supposed to be devoted and should do anything to preserve Animalism.
  • Be ready to die for Animal Farm! You have to be loyal to Animalism.
  • Snowball tried to persuade the other animals that they should build a windmill. He described how much easier life would be without all the extra work. Snowball tried to convince the other animals to side with him by convincing them that their life would be much more improved if they follow him.
  • When Napoleon engaged in trade for profit, the animals became uncertain. They thought that engaging in trade was against the Seven Amendments. Squealer tried to convince the animals that they were wrong. He persuaded them that it was merely their own imagination and that it was never even suggested to be a rule.
  • "Are you certain that this is not something that you have dream, comrades? Have you any record of such a resolution?"
