- Main Conflict: Stampeders try to steal Loren Hall's land.
- The King of Macy May Setting: Klondike Main Character: Walt Masters
- Rising Action: Stampeders
- Oh no!
- Get Back here boy!
- The stampeders just take what they want from others although they have no right or authority. .
- Climax: Run Walt Run!
- Walt Masters is a young, fourteen-year-old boy. Currently, his father is gone, so Walt is watching their home. He agreed to watch his neighbor, Loren Hall's too because Loren got injured and went to Dawson. Walt must look out for claim-jumpers, people who steal unrecorded claims. Claims are wooden stakes in the ground.
- Falling Action:
- While Walt is alone, some stampeders appear. Walt follows them and is a little worried. While following, he overhears how they plan on jumping claims. A specificone they find is Loren Hall's, which happens to have gold and be unrecorded.
- Resolution: At last, Dawson!
- The men catch up with Walt but he escapes by whipping them with dig whip Walt flees and must find Loren Hall.
- Walt escapes the stampeders and continues on his journey.
- They finally arrive in Dawson and meets up with Loren Young Walt Masters is more tired than ever and falls asleep.
