  • They all left me.
  • Still no one is coming.
  • I will still comeback here until I meet someone.
  • The end of the Mesozoic started the Cenozoic era. It's the era of us, humans. It's part of the Phanerozoic Eon. The period of mammals is what they mostly call it as it starts to disperse around the world. Sixty-five million years ago, the Paleogene period took place. It's the first period of the Cenozoic. (65 to 23million years ago) The Paleogene is composed of the first three Epochs. Paleocene, Eocene, and Oligocene Epochs. To begin with, the Paleocene Epoch is when Earth is starting to retrieve itself from the K-Pg or the Cretaceous–Paleogene Extinction. Mammals replaced the enormous reptiles that once ruled the planet. These mammals were so small. The birds become much diverse during this time. This epoch ended with a high temperature due to the collision of the Indian and Asian island continents, which opened up for the Eocene Epoch. In five million years, Cenozoic experienced severe Global warming that even Polar regions grew trees. It iswhen (Whales, Horses, etc.) started to arise.

  • Unfortunately, some of the species die off by the end. Lastly, the Oligocene Epoch turned the table around and experienced immense cooling. It is also the time the continents shifted in their current positions. Animals here are starting to get a little larger than in the past two epochs. Let's carry on to the second period of the Cenozoic, the Neogene. (23 million years ago to the present) It's the shortest period in the Cenozoic. Not like the Paleocene, it only has two epochs. The Miocene and Pliocene. The Miocene is the second-longest epoch in the Cenozoic era. The marine and the land mammals became more diverse. The variety of them evolved and occupied grasslands. The apes evolved into thirty new species. During the Pliocene, the "Great American Faunal Interchange" happened due to the forming of North and South America. It's then called the Panamanian bridge that allows the migration of animals on two different sides. The climate changes in this epoch led to the evolution of modern plants and animal species. The continents and the oceans took their contemporary form during this period. Lastly, the Quaternary period is the current of today. The Quaternary Period has two epochs, the Holocene(youngest) and Pleistocene(oldest). The Pleistocene epoch ice ages were frequent. The ice and glaciers almost covered the planet that we have commonly known as, "Ice Age." The homo sapiens evolved along with a mass extinction that wiped out several species, including Neanderthals. The Holocene or is commonly called the "The Age of Man." 1.6 million years ago, the first ancestor of modern humans existed, the Homo Erectus. We're in the Holocene epoch, the most recent period in geological time. Many species get extinct when humankind learns how to destruct nature by creating what they want. We have huge impacts on habitats, species, and the biosphere. Because of anthropocentrism, the world started to change 4 thousand years ago. Since we are now present in this era, we are responsible for the next ones.
