- I am William B Travis, elected leader of the Alamoand I'm having some troubles. Twas the second day of the Alamo and it is increadibly hard holding of the Mexicans for Sir Sam Houston.
- I know, I'll send a letter to Texians and People of America all over to assist us in our desperate times.This should help us and bring in people all over- I know some Tennesseans were eager.
- To the people of Texas and all Americans worldwideI'm besieged by a thousand or more Mexicans led by Santa Anna - I have been under constant bombardment and cannonade for 24 hours and have not lost a man - The enemy has demanded a surrender at their discretion, or else the garrison will be slaughtered if the fort is taken - I have responded with a cannon shot, and our flag still waves proudly from the walls - I will never surrender or retreat. Then, in the name of Liberty, patriotism, and everything dear to the American character, I call on you to come to our aid as soon as possible.The enemy is receiving reinforcements on a daily basis and will most likely increase to three or four thousand in four or five days.
