- Description of Elizabeth:Firstly, Elizabeth is Victor's cousin sister who was adopted by the Frankensteins. Her primary role in the play is to be Victor's wife who always supports him. In general, she acts as a devoted sister and girl-friend to Victor.Secondly, Victor's father describes Elizabeth as gentle, beautiful, and smart. As a result, readers can understand that Victor is lucky to have such a person to always support him regardless of what he is going through.Thirdly, Elizabeth is portrayed as a static character in the play because she does not participate a lot in narrative. Some may suggest that her only role is to support Victor in his various hardships. This perception of Elizabeth demonstrates a stereotypical view of women in the time the story was written as female did not have a lot to say and did not participate in any hard decisions.Fourthly, Elizabeth is an idealized character who is beautiful, loyal, empathetic, and caring towards her loved ones.
