- man vs societyin the story there was only 1 republican sniper (the man) and there was 3 or more free staters so kind of like a society

- picture 2: the sniper shot the man that came across the bridge in a armoured car and the old lady-informer then was shot at by his enemy on another roof TE: a"a shot rang out and the sniper dropped his rifle with a curse.Picture 1: The sniper fakes his death by putting his cap up on his revolver then the enemy shoots his cap and thinks he is dead.
- Resolution
- The republican sniper shot at his enemy on the other roof, and hit him, TE: "lifted his revolver above the edge of the parapet the distance was about 50 yards- a hard shot in dim light."
- The sniper wanted to see who he killed because he was a good shooter, so he ran across the street and a machine guns shot at him "a hail of bullets" but he managed to not get shot. TE: "a machine gun tore up the ground around him with bullets, but he escaped!"

- The sniper gets down to the enemy he shot and turns over the mans body, and looks into his brother's face. TE: "the sniper turned over the dead body, and looked into his brothers face"
