- Ashoka was made the 3rd ruler of Mauryan Empire in 265 B.C.E. He was the grandson of founder of the empire.
- You shall be the 3rd ruler of this empire.
- After he was made ruler he conquered the last bit of India's other independent kingdoms.
- We will conquer all these kingdoms.
- I shall conquer this kingdom.
- He went to conquer the last kingdom of India. But he had to go through a hard war to conquer Kalinga.
- He had to fight to conquer Kalinga. They won the war but it led hundreds and thousands of Kilingans to be led to slavery and were masscared.
- AAAHH!!!

- He later saw a Buddhist monk, sitting under a tree meditating. He then learned that not having wars and peace was better. So he decided to became a Buddhist - a better person to himself and everyone else.
- These shall be our new Buddhist principles for a better empire.
- He then made Buddhist principles and had them on rocks and pillars everywhere throughout the kingdom. He had made a better and more peaceful empire.
