- Mechanical Weathering of rocks, the break-up or disintegration by the actions of physical forces such as wind, water, and gravity. Water can get into the cracks in the sidewalk and freeze what makes a bigger crack in the cement.
- Biological Weathering is the break-up or disintegration of rocks through the physical or chemical effects of living organisms. For example the tree roots are growing and covering the path.

- Sedimentary Rock is one of the most common type of rock on earths surface formed by the compaction of of loose materials. Slowly over time the materials pack down together forming a new rock
