- He redeemed himself! Your dumb for hating him!
- Kid's, what is the class rule for when we have a disagreement?
- To respect each other's opinions.
- And to use polite words.
- Yes, when we are having a debate about something it's fine to disagree. But, we still need to respect one another.
- What do we do when hurt someone else's feelings?
- Take responsibility... I'm sorry Kathy.
- I'm sorry too Mark.
- Good, now let's try to have the debate again. Another rule is to take turns and listen so you can hear each other out.
- Okay well, I just didn't like when the older brother was bullying the younger brother. That's why I don't like him.
- I understand. I agree with that. But he was going through a hard time and he makes it up to the little brother later!
- That's great! Just remember, this is a safe environment where you can ask questions and are allowed to be yourself!
- I'm glad you both have learned from this experience. In this class, you know that we always are learning from our mistakes.
- Yes! I still disagree, but I do understand your opinion now Kathy!
- Same with me! I'm really glad we were able to talk about it more in a calm way!
