Evaluation has several goals a) reaching decisions about the selection of suitable learning material. b) determining the learning potential of the learning material. c) improving the learning material d) understanding the problems and processes of developing learning material.
- You’re right, Teacher Tin! This actually allow us to improve the material before it is widely used. It may also be useful to evaluate materials after they have been used for some time. If there are important weaknesses a revised version should be produced.
- Yes, that’s true. It helps Teachers and learners to improve teaching and learning. It also helps in forming the values of judgment, educational status, or achievement of students.
- I’ve also learned that it is very important to consider the learner role in the process of material adaptation since she/he is the ultimate beneficiary of the language.
