- In this scene, Benvolio and Mercutio notice that Romeo was not at his home last night. They open a letter to Romeo from Tybalt who has challenged Romeo to a Duel.

- In this scene Juliet is waiting for the nurse in the Capulet garden, the nurse appears to be out of breath from taking to Romeo

- in this scene, Juliet and the nurse are discussing what has been going on between the two lovers. NOw that Juliet is married to Romeo by Friar Lawrence Juliet is expected to step up her responsibilities. Benvolio and Maricuto enter and poke fun at the nurse.
