- Housing in the Indus River Valley was a big deal, because shelter is necessary. The houses were made of mud bricks that were dried in a kiln or under the sun. The roads in Mohenjo-Daro were layed out in a grid, such as modern cities.
- Shower Room
- Instead of showers, Indus people would stand in a brick tray or tub and pour water on themselves from a jar.
- Drain pipes would then carry the excess water to the sewer.
- Restroom
- The Great bath was thought to be a temple used as a place where rulers and priests bathed during ceremonies. It was a public place where all could bathe.
